- Well, I have fixed many of my weird problems. All my problems with
- system and getting weird errors, and crashes, and my Minix partition
- getting messed up constantly, and problems with TOSWIN and my terminal
- and everything else were all due .. or seem to have been due .. to a
- line my mint.cnf which used the echo command to do some vt52 escapes and
- clear the screen and such. I tried many times to fix these problems,
- and removing that line from the file fixed everything.
-
- There are 2 exceptions. 1 - Fasttext doesn't have a cursor. This is
- a conflict with NVDI. How can I fix this. I want NVDI for VDI stuff, in
- case I run GEM, and fasttext for console operations, and I want my text
- cursor on. I know, I'm being unreasonable and I should just reboot, but
- I want my cake and eat it too :-)
-
- The other exception in the memory leak in TOSWIN. Here :
- # ps
- PID PPID PRI CURPRI STATUS SIZE TIME COMMAND
- 000 000 0 0 Wait 347904 55:17.88 MiNT
- 002 000 0 0 Sleep 37120 02:10.25 ttyd0d

- Everything looks good, except that pid 00 is close to half a MB. I need
- this fixed!! Help me please?
-
- In general, I like MiNT 1.10 +++ alot better now! My system was a mess,
- and I lost my compiler because of that one line in mint.cnf. I still
- can't figure out why that was the problem, but it works now, so I'm
- not gonna mess with it :-)
